Fourth Military Medical University

The original Fourth Military Medical University was formerly known as the Health School of the Eighth Route Army Northwest Shanxi Military Region. It was founded in 1941 and was stationed in Xi'an in 1948. It was successively renamed the People's Medical College of the Northwest Military Region and the First Military Medical College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In 1952, it was named the Fourth Military Medical University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
