China Insurance Regulatory Commission

Established on November 18, 1998, it is the competent department of commercial insurance nationwide. It is a ministerial-level public institution directly under the State Council. It performs administrative functions under the authorization of the State Council, uniformly supervises and manages the national insurance market in accordance with laws and regulations, and maintains the legal and stable operation of the insurance industry.
